It is a truth universally acknowledged, that Subang Jaya drivers are the worst. By universal, this editor refers exclusively to herself, and the experience that comes with the better part of a decade spent trying to change lanes, find parking, and navigate the tangle of roads from SS12 to the annals of USJ without getting some kind of finger sign thrown at you.
So, the following video comes as no surprise, really. Shared by one of Coconuts KL’s favorite Facebook groups, Discover Subang Jaya, watch in awe at the extent that one driver, in a mint green Myvi bullies their way through the roads on a Saturday morning (overcompensating in douchery what your car lacks in reinforced steel, is it?).
Another driver’s dashboard camera caught the Myvi’s mischief. For a full four minutes, the driver of the Myvi cut-off, stopped abruptly, and tried 5 times to reverse into the driver behind them. They probably didn’t realize there was a car in front of them, recording all of this, including their plate number.
Sorry, bearer of plate number BJB8685 – you kind of seem like a prick. One with learner plates on top of that.
There’s something about the roads on that side of town that is very Wild West. However, you’ve got great shops and food, so please don’t scratch my car next time I go eat at Gold Chili.
