A video of a man and a woman, purportedly a headmaster and a teacher, engaging in a passionate session of hugging and kissing has gone viral online.
According to a report by Berita Harian, the video surfaced online about a week ago.
The eight-minute video, uploaded by a Facebook user named Jones Jangkat, shows a middle-aged man and a tudung-clad woman cuddling each other and exchanging kisses in what appears to be an office.
In the caption, the Facebook user claimed that the couple in the video is a headmaster and a school teacher, although at the moment, there is no verification to the claim.
The video has since amassed a total of 1.6 million views and shared more than 30,000 times.
National Union of Teaching Profession (NUTP) president Kamarozaman Abd Razak told the Malay daily that investigations are currently underway to verify the identity of the couple as well as the authenticity of the video.
“If the incident did happen, it is shameful. We need to investigate the matter since it involves the school and the district education office,” he was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, another Facebook user, who goes by the name of Mahdzir Khalid, has debunked the video clip, claiming that it was an old video and the incident took place in an office in Johor
“Investigations have found that the subjects in the video are not teachers and does not involve any institution under the Education Ministry.
“The video clip was allegedly recorded about eight years ago in a plantation office in Segamat, Johor,” the Netizen wrote.
