A video shared by the Facebook group “Discover Subang Jaya” (lol) of an alleged MMA fighter taking on the security staff at USJ ONE condo in Subang Jaya has gone viral, with most netizens crying foul, saying the staff were merely doing their job when the man attacked them.
The video begins with the man demanding to be let upstairs, despite not being a building resident, not having an access card, and also not having a friend to come down to get him. Seems like the odds were not in his favor.
In a David versus Goliath moment, the diminutive guard is seen squaring up to the jacked aggressor. Unsubstantiated claims on the original Facebook post say that the fighter threw the first punch, something that the man, Darriush Kha Lili, later denies in the comments section, saying it was “a slap.” Oh, that’s cool then.
The brawl escalated after Darriush threw a kick, and the spritely guard gave back as good as he got, with the two ending up on the ground. While the fighter had a momentary upper hand, he was quickly subdued by the other guards, who came to the aid of their fallen soldier. They tied him, while onlookers recorded the entire incident. The rest, as they say, goes down in Subang history.
While many called Darriush a bully, pointing out that the guards were 100% in the right of simply doing their job, he countered this in the comments section, saying “for me it’s just funny man. I admit it was my mistake. I slapped him, which I said sorry and they all did too. It was just a big misunderstanding.”
The only misunderstanding seems to be when, and when not, to use your fighting skills, Darriush. Also, somebody give these guards a raise.
