Video of massive Penang brawl that left British man in serious condition leaked on Twitter

Video has emerged of a brawl between a British man and a group of local Penang men that left the tourist unconscious over the weekend.

The incident occurred in front of a restaurant on Penang Road early Saturday morning, with the 39-year-old victim sustaining a serious neck injury, and received emergency surgery.

Initial reports stated that nearby CCTV cameras recorded blurry images, but the recently leaked videos via Twitter shows two large groups of men, one consisting of what appear to be Western foreigners, and the others locals, goading each other. Initial punches thrown lead to a second clip that shows the British victim laying on the road, and covered in blood.

Two suspects have since been picked up by police, with a 38-year-old suspect being taken into remand first, and his 30-year-old friend being picked up just this morning. Police are still on the hunt for the others involved.

Still in hospital, the victim has been unable to give police a statement of the events that occurred preceding the brawl.  Doctors report that his condition is serious, but that the victim is stable.

Violence is never the answer, people. Be the bigger person and walk away, because honestly — you never know how things will escalate. Ok, Coconuts KL lecture over.
