We live in a concrete jungle, and it’s often hard to remember that 99% of us are usually within 15 minutes of the actual jungle.
Hiker Danish Ho from Johor Baru was out on a family jaunt when he spotted what he thought was a hammerhead snake. Turns out it was actually a hammerhead WORM. A carnivorous hammerhead worm.
The video has been watched more than 10 million times after being picked up by bastion of news nobility, The Daily Mail.
The hammerhead worm is a meat eating planarian that catches its prey by first trapping them with their slime, and them lying on top of them. The hammerhead then used its pharynx, the area between its nose and mouth, to such the life juices out of their catch.
Who’s ready for lunch?!
