Three shop lots burned to the ground in a fire on Jalan Kerinchi Kiri in front of the Bangsar South building at 3.30pm yesterday.
Pantai Fire and Rescue station chief Hamid Daud said the fire destroyed a restaurant, a car workshop and a motorcycle workshop. There were about 50 motorcycles and six cars parked at the two workshops when the incident occured.
“Thirty-three firemen rushed there in five trucks and brought the blaze under control at 4.28pm,” he said when contacted by Bernama.
The cause of the fire and the total value of the damage are still being investigated. No casualties were reported.
