Unsettling news for anyone who has ever eaten at Devi’s Corner, the popular Bangsar 24-hour eatery beloved by broke students and those attempting to subdue the effects of drinking after a night on the smash: their Maggi chicken noodles come with a side serving of maggots.

Facebook user Mei Ling Lee posted a short video clip showing the wriggling maggot that came with her chicken, no extra charge. Although Devi’s has never been a bastion of cleanliness, being served a piece of rotten meat is taking things to another level. Malaysians love to gloat about the griminess of our street food like a badge of honor, but we can all agree that this is just nasty.

Last month, Devi’s was shut for a “deep cleaning”, as rumors swirled that DBKL, Kuala Lumpur’s city council, forced it to shut down.
