Victim finally snaps, stabs bully to death

Pushed into a corner, a Vietnamese worker finally snapped and stabbed his colleague to death.

The 28-year-old suspect has been arrested following the death of his colleague, 42-year-old Tran Try Ong Thien Lan, who was stabbed in the left rib at a steel factory in the Arab Malaysian Industrial Park in Nilai on Tuesday. Tran was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to The New Straits Times, state police chief Datuk Jaafar Mohd Yusof said the suspect and the victim had a heated argument at the factory’s compound right before the incident.

“According the suspect, he claimed that he was bullied several times by the deceased at the hostel. The suspect, unable to withstand the bullying any longer, attacked the bully with a knife,” said Jaafar.

“The suspect then fled the scene and threw away the knife into some bushes about 2km away from the factory.”

Jaafar confirmed that the suspect was caught a couple of hours later, and he confessed to committing the crime.
