UPSR leaks: Two more teachers arrested

The crackdown on culprits behind the recent leaked Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) Science and English examination papers continues.

Police have arrested two more teachers, bringing the total number of those caught to 12.

The Star’s Jastin Ahmad Tarmizi quoted  KL CID chief Senior Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng as saying that the latest arrests were made in Johor and Negeri Sembilan.

A 26-year-old female teacher was detained at 7pm in Labis while police got to the second suspect, a 31-year-old male teacher, at 7.30pm in Nilai.

Both are expected to be remanded in Putrajaya. Eight of the twelve arrested have been released on bail.

The UPSR English and Science papers had been compromised last week, forcing Year Six pupils to re-sit the exam on Sept 30.
