UPSR: Another leak, pupils forced to resit English paper

Standard Six pupils would have to resit their UPSR English paper after a second leak – following yesterday’s Science paper – was discovered thismorning.

Education Minister II Idris Jusoh said students who sat for the English exam with code 014/1 and 014/2 must redo the exam at a date which would be announced later, The Malaysian Insider reports.

“Yesterday, the Examinations Board made the decision to postpone the Science paper to September 30. Today, we also found that questions for English papers 1and 2 were also leaked. For this the board will discuss when the pupils can retake the examination,” Idris was quoted on a TMI report.

On rumours that the UPSR Mathematics paper was also leaked, Idris said the matter would be investigated.

He deemed both incidents as serious and stressed that the ‘harshest action possible’ would be taken against those responsible.
