After his appalling Facebook comment made upon news of a local actress’s death, Malaysia’s International Medical University (IMU) announced that they will launch an investigation into their student, Kiren Raj’s, actions.
Over the weekend, the young man wrote that not only should Emily Kong’s tragic death be a lesson in why women should never leave pubs without a male escort, he added that the accompaniment should then be exchanged for sex.
“Condolences.. I hope all the girls learn a good lesson now.. Never leave the pub without a guy.
“Man and woman work together… We offer you a safe drive home and you give us makeout or sex.. I mean girls like sex too right…” he posted.

He has since removed his comments, but like all things internet — his legacy will live forever in the form of screenshots kept by the scores of netizens that were truly appalled by his sentiments. IMU’s deputy vice-chancellor called them “highly insensitive,” and called a review of the incident “urgent.”
In a post to their Facebook page, IMU pointed out that it has had a social media policy in place since 2012 that students are required to adhere to.

After Raj’s comments implied that her accident and death could have been avoided had she not left the pub alone, thousands of netizens condemned his horrible thoughts, and an online petition was shared calling him a danger to Malaysians. It has garnered nearly 40,000 signatures.

Bizarrely, he later made lewd remarks about about having sex with ethnic Chinese women, and dismissive statements about the size of Chinese men’s private parts.
