A cow reportedly threw a massive tantrum at a group of firemen who freed it from a ditch in Sabak Bernam, Selangor on Saturday.
According to The New Straits Times, the 5pm incident at Jalan Melor of Taman Pertama’s Phase 3 saw the animal charge at a group of firemen minutes after they managed to bring it to safety.
The firemen were not harmed, although the same can’t be said for the fire engine, which sustained minor ‘injury’ when the cow rammed and gored its left headlamp.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department operations officer Mohd Hissam Sidik told the daily that they received a distress call about a cow trapped inside a ditch at 4.50pm, and seven firemen were dispatched to the scene.
It was reported that the firemen used a reel of fire hose to lift the cattle out of the ditch before moving it to safety.
“All of a sudden, the cow went berserk and charged towards the firemen.
“This is when it rammed into the fire engine and cracked its left headlight,” Mohd Hissam was quoted as saying, adding that the cow’s owner eventually brought the animal under control.
The poor cow must be have been in distress for it to lash out like that.
