Batten down the hatches, Steven Seagal, the Hollywood actor most recently best known for his cozy relationship with Russia that led to him being named a special US-Russia envoy by Moscow, has washed up on Malaysian shores.
To what do we owe the honor? Well, he’s here to make a special appearance at the Asean International Film Festival and Awards (Aiffa) 2019 in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak.

Seagal landed in Borneo’s Kuching International Airport at 2:15pm today, and was given what can only be described as the VIP treatment, having been greeted by film festival officials upon arrival.
Spending the next three days in the city, he will rub shoulders with regional celebs including popular Malaysian singer Sheila Majid, and the former hosts of Asia’s Got Talent, Marc Nelson and Rovilson Fernandez.
Fancy meeting the legend? Come one, come all:

While we haven’t seen a Seagal film since 1992’s classic action film Under Siege, the actor has been in the headlines in recent years, having attained both Serbian and Russian citizenship to add to his portfolio, starring in Russian films, and uh — also claiming he could save US and Russian relations, and getting an official envoy appointment from Putin that intends to do just that.
It’s a wild world, kids! Never stop dreaming, because honestly — whatever you’re thinking of — weirder sh*t is probably already happening.
