Two-thirds of Malaysia now has access to broadband internet

The Communications and Multimedia Ministry has announced that broadband penetration in Malaysia has reached 67.3%, an 11.7% increase from 55.6% in 2010. 

Communications and Multimedia Ministry secretary-general Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Mohamad Radzi noted increased broadband penetration has provided Malaysians to increase their income and enjoy rapid development. 

“Communications is an important tool in our daily life and with the introduction of broadband, communications is now at our fingertip and can gain access to all parts of the world,” said Abdul Rahim when launching the Visit Museum Telekom 2014 campaign, according to Bernama
