Two armed robbers broke into a Road Transport Department (JPJ) office in Wangsa Maju and fled with RM754,000 on Monday, The Star Online reports.
City CID chief Senior Asst Comm Rusdi Mohd Isa told the news portal that the suspects had reportedly entered the premises through the unlocked backdoor at 5.45pm.
The suspects then reportedly threatened a female employee with a parang.
“The suspects wore helmets and headed straight to the administrative enforcement office.
“They pointed a parang at the female employee before going into the revenue department where two officers were calculating the day’s earning.
“They snatched the money from the officers and made away with the loot,” he was quoted as saying, adding that the case is investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery.
