Two men killed in a car in Rawang after heated argument

Two men were found dead in a car at Jalan Bristol, Rawang, this morning in what police believe was a double murder sparked by an argument.

The two — including a temple priest — were found at 8.30am by passers-by, The Star Online’s Nadirah H. Rodzi reports. Both victims were reportedly 23 years old.

“The driver was found his throat slit while the other was strangled to death with a seat belt,” Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Ali Ahmad told the portal.

He said the two were heading to Kuang with four others when an argument broke out.

“One of the suspects, who was seated in the back of the car, made some jokes about the driver’s soft personality. Enraged by it, the driver whipped out a penknife and threatened the suspects. One of the suspects then snatched the knife and immediately slit the neck of the driver, who is also a priest,” he was quoted as saying.

The second victim had been asleep, The Star Online reports, and was shocked to find out what happened when he woke up. He then said he would call the police.

“That prompted the suspects to strangle him using a seat belt from behind,” Ali said.

Two of the four people have been arrested.
