Judging by the number of people getting injured playing Pokemon GO, the the app is slowly turning into a real-life survival game.
Just a couple of days after a local reporter fell off his motorcycle chasing Pokemons, two men were reportedly hit by a car while playing the augmented reality game.
According to The New Straits Times, the victims — Tan Chin Kang, 35, and Teoh Koon Ee, 30 — were standing in front of a shop in Jalan Bakar Arang, Sungai Petani at 2.30am on Saturday, fully engrossed in their smart phones.
The duo did not realise a car was approaching from their left, which subsequently knock into the both of them.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene.
Kuala Muda district police chief Assistant Commissioner Md Zukir Md Isa told the daily that Tan was injured on his left leg while his friend Teoh sustained injuries on the face, hands and legs.
“Both the victims received treatment for their injuries at the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital.
“Investigations are still ongoing,” ACP Md Zukir was quoted as saying.
