Two men behind 17 robberies shot dead in Johor

High drama in Johor: state police shot dead two foreigners — widely believed to be behind 17 robberies in Pontian and Kulaijaya — in an early morning face-off near a forest reserve today.

The Star Online’s Zazali Musa reports that the two men were killed sometime around 3.45am.

Johor Police chief Chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Rusli Ahmad told the portal that police are currently hunting down two other suspects that make up the gang.

“Our men were patrolling the area when they saw them behaving suspiciously in a car. One of the suspects then fired at the police,” he was quoted as saying.

Police recovered a stolen Proton Perdana which had been reported stolen, a sales receipt for gold jewellery worth RM2,000, a mobile phone and a camera.
