Two Malaysian men were among the 141 gentlemen detained by Jakarta police during a party raid on an alleged gay sex sauna on Monday. The building is reported to have be a gym, with sauna facilities, and promoters had dubbed the event “The Wild One.” Just how wild is wild? Facebook photos show a gym with dozens of consenting, adult, naked bodies being filed out by police. No word on the music.

In addition to the two Malaysians, one British national and another from Singapore. The others were Indonesian. Senior detective Nasriadi told the AFP Sunday that “our officers did an undercover investigation, and raided the place on Sunday.” Exactly what the nature of the undercover work was is yet to be ascertained.

It might be of useful information to note that (barring Aceh province), in Indonesia, unlike neighboring countries Singapore and Malaysia, homosexuality and gay sex are LEGAL. However, after raiding the facilities, 10 of those arrested were said to be liable for charge under Indonesia’s anti-pornography laws. Sounds like someone was utilizing their Facebook live feature.

If convicted, they can be jailed for up to 10 years.

Nasriadi, via AFP reports that entrants were asked to pay a fee, that included “admission to a striptease show … and that the main “sex party” took place on another dimly-lit floor.” Sounds like someone read up on their party etiquette: warm-up games to get to know other guests, and flattering lighting.
