Two cars definitely took a wrong turn when they ended up completely underwater at the Jalan Chan Sow Lin tunnel yesterday evening, as a flash flood hit the area.
Twitter user @MyOndscene posted a photo of the ‘terowong-maut’ (‘death-tunnel’) as it was filling up with flood water, and speculated that local contingency pump systems had malfunctioned, leading to the flooding:
He also tweeted a photo of the two cars submerged in water – according to MyOndscene, the occupants of both vehicles managed to get themselves out safely.
