Tun Dr Mahathir calls the West world’s worst censors, blames Jewish interests

Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad penned an opinion piece published today on Astro Awani’s official website lambasting the West for its hypocritical stance on censorship.

In the op-ed, Dr M says he was accused by wetern media of controlling the press during his 22-year tenure as Prime Minister, but has since his retirement seen more “stringent” enforcement of censorship in the West than anything Malaysia has ever experienced.

He then shifts the focus of his essay to how western censorship serves to protect Jewish interests and sensibilities.

He writes, “The American and Western media and publishers are totally forbidden to say anything unseemly about the Jews and in particular Israel. They may also not report about the unAmerican activities of the Jews in their own country.”

Dr Mahathir proceeds to cite the American banking and finance industry having been set up by Jewish capitalists, and how the system was used to profit from the propogation and servicing of both sides of numerous wars throughout Europe, and how financial crises would be used to gain profit for these financial institutions.

He also claims that Western media is also prohibited from mentioning negative statements about Jews or their activities, under the guise of hampering anti-Semitic prejudice.

This follows Dr Mahathir’s statement last week that if he were reappointed Prime Minister, he would backtrack on his earlier promise during his premiership to ensure a free and unregulated internet in Malaysia.
