Tornado rumours have been spiralling out of control with the latest involving Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
According to these rumours, ‘tornados’ will hit these two locations next, after a freak storm in Klang last week and a land spout in Kedah just days before that sent shockwaves throughout the country.
Now, the Malaysian Meteorological Department has come forward to deny rumours that they had issued tornado warnings for both areas.

“People should stop spreading such information citing it came from our department because it is false,” its deputy director-general (Climate and Weather), Alui Bahari was quoted as saying in this Bernama report.
