An unverified, public hair-cutting incident has gone viral on Facebook, with user Kang Jonathan warning netizens that his friend’s hair was cut off while she was at the Masjid Jamek LRT station. The post has since been shared nearly 2,500 times.

The corresponding uploaded photos show the back of a woman’s head with a noticeable, and we mean NOTICEABLE, chunk missing from otherwise very long, thick and enviable hair.
His post was brief and did not name the victim, but stated that she was at Masjid Jamek station on Monday when an unknown individual suddenly cut her hair without explanation. The suspect then took the hair, putting it in their pocket. In the commotion, the victim was not able to get a good look at the would-be Edward Scissorhands.
While this is every long-haired individual’s personal nightmare, some Facebook comments doubted the veracity of the photos, wondering why no police report had been filled and why the photos were taken from inside a hair salon.
News flash: If a lunatic cuts your hair, your first stop would probably be the salon, buddy.
Hair theft has occasionally cropped (ha!) up in the news, with one Rajasthan village hitting international headlines last year with widespread hair theft while victims slept.
What do they d-? You know what, never mind.
