TNB technician dies after substation explosion

A Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) employee who was injured while doing maintenance work at a sub-station in Jalan Klang Lama on Monday, died in hospital today.

Bernama reports that 34-year-old technician Mohd Ruzairi Razali, who was severely injured during an explosion at the sub-station, died at 1.10pm at the Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC).

Mohd Ruzairi was among three employees who were hurt when the explosion occurred at 10.55; the others are Mohd Zaidi Mohd Shariff, 35, and Norizan Abdullah, 59 who are reportedly in stable condition at Prince Court Medical Centre.

According to Bernama, all three suffered 80 percent burns in the incident.
