TMJ’s tapping claim a misunderstanding, says IGP

After his surprise outburst on a Facebook posting, the Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said he had an audience with Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail to clear the air.

According to The Star Online, Khalid had an audience with the royal on Thursday morning.

“This morning I met Tunku. I have explained to Tunku and there is no problem.‎ It is a small misunderstanding which is why Tunku made the posting,” he told reporters.

“I have met him and clarified the misunderstanding.”

On Wednesday, the outspoken royal claimed that his phone was “bugged” and his movements were tracked by the Special Branch. He even revealed that the police have opened files on him and his father, the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.
