TMJ claims his phone was bugged, movements tracked

In a rather bizarre outburst, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim claimed that his phone was “bugged” and his movements were tracked by the Special Branch.

In the posting which was uploaded to the Johor Southern Tigers page on Wednesday, the Tunku Mahkota of Johor was puzzled why the authorities would need to track his every move and even opened files on him and his father, the Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar.

“I don’t understand why my phone is bugged. I don’t understand why my movements are monitored by the Special Branch,” he said in the posting. “I don’t understand why they need a file about me or my father in Bukit Aman.”

He also stressed that such actions are not necessary as he was not a terrorist.

“I’m a leader who cares for my people. Not a terrorist. I’m not dangerous. I have never killed anyone except for Malaysian football,” he added.

His outburst came as a surprise as earlier in the posting, he had commented on the upcoming FA Cup final between JDT and PKNS.
