A 15-year-old girl from Gelang Patah, Johor had a very close shave as she was almost raped by two men she had reportedly met via a social media app.
According to a report by the China Press, as translated by The Star Online, the girl met up with the two suspects, who are in their 20s, for supper at about 11.15pm on Saturday.
After supper, they reportedly went to a one of the suspects’ house before the two men allegedly started kissing and touching her.
When she refused their advances, one of the men allegedly slapped her.
However, when the men found out that she was menstruating at the time, they stopped harrassing her.
They then allegedly left the girl by the roadside.
Iskandar Puteri OCPD Supt Noor Hashim Mohamad told the Chinese daily that the girl alerted her sister before lodging a police report.
Supt Noor added that the police managed to track down and arrest one of the suspects at 3.15pm on Monday.
“The 23-year-old suspect does not have any previous criminal record.
“We have seized his mobile phone,” Supt Noor Hashim was quoted as saying, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 354 of the Penal Code for molestation.
