Here’s why you were late to work this morning: it was a major accident along Jalan Kuching that caused the crazy traffic jam you were in.
According to The Star Online, the accident involved three vehivles, slowing traffic as police shut off access to the road. In true Malaysian fashion, many stopped to look at what happened.
The Rakyat Post meanwhile quoted city Fire and Rescue Department operations division assistant director Azizan Ismail disputing rumours that a flyover collapse had caused the massive jam.
“It was an accident that happened near a flyover which is still under construction. It merely looked like the flyover had collapsed because it is still incomplete,” he was quoted as saying.
There. Mystery solved.
