They had a plan: go to the showroom and steal a car. Too bad one of the suspects left his MyKad ID card behind. Yep, surprised this Einstein was even able to start the car.

Everything was going accordingly, one of the trio rolled up to the Kota Baru car showroom, and asked the sales assistant for a test-drive. The two got in the vehicle, and took the car for a spin. The suspect then told the sales assistant that he had friends at a nearby restaurant, and asked to pick them up.

At this point, we’re not quite sure when the test-drive turned into a GrabShare situation, but the assistant obliged, and the other two got in the car. It was at this point that one of them pulled a sharp object to the assistant’s neck, and put blindfolds on him. The victim said that at the time, they were driving towards Ludang.

He attempted to fight them off, but was pushed out of the car in a residential area in Lubuk Jong, Pasir Mas.

He then went to the police station to file a report, and realized that the suspect had spectacularly left his single most important piece of identifying information back at the showroom: his MyKad. Police are now searching for the 3 suspects.

With a genius like this, it’s only a matter of time before he reveals his location via Facebook check-in.
