A car thief who took a Toyota Estima from a Taman Cheras Perdana home Sunday night, later caused an accident on the Kajang SILK highway, killing another motorist.
The Sun reports that passing motorists say that the thief then ran from the stolen car on foot. He has not been seen since.
The accident involved a 39-year-old woman, driving a white Proton Saga. She was killed instantly.
Kajang police say that they received a call from a 17-year-old girl, who told them that two men had broken into her family home at 5am.
Police say the suspect lost control of the Estima, crashing into the Saga at km9.9 of the SILK expressway, two hours after the call was made.
A postmortem indicated that the victim died on the spot, of severe head injuries. Police are still looking for the suspect.
