Call Dr. Seuss’s estate, we’ve got the purrfect idea for a sequel to The Cat in The Hat.
On Tuesday, Twitter user @ricxxxkiddo shared this delightful video of a man walking around an eatery in Malaysia wearing a curiously cute cap (be warned, the audio includes some rather off-key meow-meow music)
The cat’s owner (we’re assuming — this could also very well be some sort of Ratatouille situation in which the cat is in control) walks around the restaurant and seems to ask one of the staff a question about the cat before receiving a negative answer, which the cat responds to indignantly before they leave the premises.
Unsurprisingly, the video went viral (as cute cat clips on the internet tend to do), racking up over 2 million views so far.
A follow-up video in the comments shows the cat’s owner smiling outside the restaurant while his pretty kitty remains firmly perched upon his noggin.
Netizens had almost as much fun commenting on the video as the cat clearly had in it.
Hanya orang rapat dengan kucing je faham perasaan ini😂😂😂

“Only people close to cats understand this feeling😂😂😂“

:ada meow
“My neck hurts lately, I don’t know why
: there is a meow“
Some others saw the situation as reminiscent of the horror film Shutter.

But there were a few comments from folks who complained that bringing a cat into the eatery isn’t hygienic and that the owner should be more respectful of others.
Of course, that criticism assumes the owner was in control of the situation, which, frankly, we’re not entirely sure he was.
