Ten years later, Chinese woman is in Malaysia searching for her daughter’s baby-daddy

This Thursday’s wildest story comes courtesy of Chinapress. Ten years ago, a Malaysian man went to Fujian, and met local Chinese woman Liu Hong Jie. A few cocktails, and dinner led to coitus (sex, people) and not of the protected variety. The woman awoke the next morning to an empty bed, and she soon found herself to be pregnant from the one night stand.

She had the baby, raising her daughter as a single-mother for 9 years, slowly but surely saving money so that one day she could come to Malaysia to be reunited with a man she refers to as “her husband,” but more commonly known as “the guy who’s about to be in trouble.”

Landing in Malaysia Liu Hong Jie spent 3 days searching for the man, with no success. Unsure about where to go next, she did what any human being would do: went to seek assistance from MCA, the Chinese party in the current ruling coalition. Politicians are, after all, public servants, and this is a service to the public.

Head of Public Services and Complaints, Datuk Seri Michael Chong has stepped in and today held a press conference regarding the issue. He told the public that while they do have information regarding the man, they will not be releasing it to the public. Not wanting to cause embarrassment to the man, he instead urged the man to “do the right thing” and get in contact.

It’s a times like this when Malaysia needs some Jeremy Kyle or Maury Povich. This would have been sorted in an hour, including commercials.
