A 19-year old teenager found dismembered and beheaded in Klang might have been the target of a gang hit, a source in the local police force says.
Malay Mail‘s G Prakash was in contact with an anonymous source in the PDRM, who said that the victim, P Loganraj, might have been in the crosshairs of a faction involved in Klang’s escalating gang war.
“The case could be related to the sporadic fights between Gang 24 and Gang 36 over territorial power and control of drugs trade that ended in a blood bath on both sides two months ago,” the source said.
“We are now in the midst of establishing the victim’s background and believe he is connected to friends who were gang members.”
On March 9, Loganraj was allegedly “arrested” by three men claiming to be police officers on the same day he is believed to have been murdered. He was taken from his family home in Taman Laksamana for further questioning.
Loganraj’s mother did not suspect anything was amiss at first, and only began to be apprehensive when he did not return home the next day.
When she went to the Shah Alam police headquarters and asked to see her son, she was shocked to discover that there was no record of Loganraj’s arrest on file.
Police found his remains near Port Klang later that night.
Investigations suggest that the manner in which he was murdered points to an act of gang reprisal.
No arrests have yet to be made in connection to the murder.
