Another day, another case of a snake bite in school.
In Seremban on Saturday night, a Form Three boy was reportedly bitten by a snake while he was on the way back to his dormitory after attending prayers.
This is the third reported case of students getting bitten in school — the first, of a Standard One pupil in Kelantan who was fatally bitten and another one of an eight-year-old in Rembau who survived — over the past two weeks.
The New Straits Times said that the 15-year-old boy Khairul Rusidy Kamaruddin, from boarding school Sekolah Menengah Dato’ Abdul Razak (SDAR), had told the dormitory warden of the bite and was rushed to hospital.
A source told the daily that the boy is now in stable condition.
