An 18-year old student who participated in a marching competition held at the Kajang Prison was beaten until his ribs cracked, and forced to perform oral sex on three other teenagers.
The incident, which took place at around 4.40pm last Wednesday, began when the victim, from Sungai Petani, Kedah, went to the Kajang Prison to patricipate in a marching competition sponsored by the penal facility.
Kajang district police chief ACP Abdul Rashid Abdul Wahab told Harian Metro that while the compeition was taking place, the victim was pulled aside by three other participants to a secluded area and was forced to perform oral sex on them.
“The victim was unable to fend off his attackers and relented to their demands. One of the suspects even attempted to sodomise him,” ACP Abdul Rashid said.
“After the incident took place, the victim reported the matter to the prison warden, and a police report was lodged immediately afterward.”
The victim was taken to the Kajang Hospital for medical inspection. Doctors did not find any evidence of anal penetration.
“Further investigations revealed traces of semen from the suspects. This led to the arrest of the three suspects, all from Malacca, who were then identified via police lineup.
“We are awaiting further orders from a magistrate to take further action,” said ACP Abdul Rashid.
The three suspects, aged between 17 and 19 years old, are being investigated under Section 377 (b) for sodomy.
