A 19-year-old boy has been arrested for allegedly raping his friend’s 16-year-old sister on Monday.
The New Straits Times reported that the incident happened at 3.30am in the victim’s house located in a Felda estate in Jempol, Negri Sembilan. The suspect had reportedly been staying overnight with the family.
District police chief Superintendent Noorzainy Mohd Noor told the NST that the girl’s father had heard his daughter’s cries and rushed to the room, where he found the suspect in the room with her.
“The suspect, caught red-handed, fled the room through the window,” Noorzainy was quoted as saying. He added that initial investigations showed that the girl had allegedly been raped twice prior to Monday’s incident.
The girl reportedly lodged a police report at the Ayer Hitam police station around 5.53am and the suspect was caught at 12.15pm.
