A technician was charged in the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday for raping his girlfriend’s 13-year-old sister.
Muhammad Syahir Naim Ramli, 20, pleaded not guilty to the charge, according to Bernama.
He reportedly committed the offence in a house at Jalan 9/56 Ulu Klang at 12.30pm last May 15.
He was charged under Section 376 (1) of the Penal Code, which upon conviction, carries a maximum jail term of 20 years and whipping.
Deputy public prosecutor Liyana Zawani Mohd Radzi did not offer bail as the offence is non-bailable.
Judge Datin M. Kunasundary has set July 25 for mention.
