The police have detained a teacher at a primary school in Jerteh after he allegedly molested three of his pupils, according to Bernama.
The parents of the three pupils, aged between nine and ten, decided to lodge the report at the Jerteh police station on Tuesday after meeting with the headmaster of the school.
District police chief Supt Mohd Zamri Mohd Rowi told the news agency that the 50-year-old English teacher had allegedly commited the act at the school’s computer laboratory on Monday.
“Polis detained the suspect aged 50 at the school around 3pm. According to the parents, the suspect committed the act in the school’s computer laboratory,” he was quoted as saying.
He added that the teacher has no criminal record and tested negative for drugs.
