A woman claimed that she was robbed by a taxi driver behind Subang Parade on Monday.
Subang Jaya district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari told The New Straits Times that the cab driver, who was in his 40s, drove a red and white-coloured taxi.
The incident reportedly happened at 8.30am when the 28-year-old woman hailed the cab to take her to work at the Empire Shopping Gallery.
“However, when they arrived behind Subang Parade (next to Empire), the suspect stopped the car and brandished a knife at the victim’s right ear.
“He also showed a gun to the victim,” Mohammad Azlin was quoted as saying.
The driver allegedly robbed the victim of RM1,500 in cash, a mobile phone and her house keys.
He then reportedly dropped the victim off in front of a post office at SS15.
Mohammad Azlin said the victim sustained minor injuries on her ear.
