Taman OUG shooting victim knew her life was in danger

The real estate agent who was gunned down in broad daylight in Taman OUG on Wednesday reportedly knew her life was in danger, according to The Star Online.

The 32-year-old mother of five, Datin Renyce Wong Siew Ling, had reportedly told her sister last December to take care of her children should anything happen to her, the victim’s husband told the news portal.

The husband, who declined to be named, said Renyce told him she was going into business with a local ceramic tiles dealer she met between July and August last year, but the investment plan ran into problems soon after.

“My wife and her friends spoke with the man, who is in his 40s, about expanding his business nationwide.

“But the businessman disappeared and could not be contacted after the investors put in their money,” he was quoted as saying.

Renyce and her friends were reportedly considering hiring a private investigator to track down the businessman, but she was shot before any action could be taken.

Her husband denied knowing the businessman as he was reportedly busy running his cosmetics business in China.

On Wednesday, Royce was shot to death at close range by two gunmen on a motorcycle while she was driving her MPV in Taman OUG. A stray bullet hit her eight-year-old daughter, who was sitting in the passenger seat, and she is reportedly still in critical condition
