Kuala Lumpur police confirmed that the suspect involved in a midday incident yesterday where a 27-year-old woman was allegedly groped at the Muzium Negara (National Museum) MRT station is now under arrest.
Local daily The Star reports that the victim described being approached at the escalator by someone who smiled at her. Imagining that the man was only being friendly, she smiled back. Still standing, the man came closer to her, and whispered something into her ear. Unable to hear as she was wearing headphones, she was momentarily confused, and at that moment the man reached around and grabbed her backside.
Screaming for help, a nearby woman came to assist, and together they alerted an officer, who was then able to track, and apprehend the suspect.
A police report has now been lodged, and so concludes a swift end to a rather unsavory incident.
