Sultan of Johor receives 500kg life-sized, wooden Harley superbike replica from community leader

What do you get a state ruler who essentially already has everything, including a Flintstones car?

May we suggest a 500kg, life-sized, wooden replica of a Harley-Davidson superbike as a token of your appreciation for his work?

Oh wait, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Johor already has one now, after receiving just that from S. Deva, an Indian community leader in the state.

The detailed gift was presented to the Sultan at his Istana Pasir Pelangi, along with kind words from Deva, explaining that the ruler was a man who cared for his people, regardless of race or religion.

The solid, timber-wood bike idea was one that Deva had been dreaming about for several years, as Sultan Ibrahim is a renown Harley lover, and collector. He contacted a friend with 17 years of wood-working experience, and the two were able to make the wild idea come to fruition. We’ve gotta admit. It’s pretty spectacular looking and incredibly detailed. Well done, guys.
