A student from a Chinese school in Kuala Lumpur was allegedly slapped more than ten times by a teacher on Wednesday morning, resulting in a swollen face.
According to a report by the China Press, translated by The Star Online, the teacher allegedly slapped the Year Four student after he shouted at his classmates, who teased and laughed at him after being punished by the teacher for not finishing his homework.
The boy reportedly shouted “diam!” at his classmates, prompting the teacher to allegedly slap him.
When he reached home, the student’s mother was shocked to see her son with a swollen face, and she immediately brought her son to the clinic before lodging a police report.
The school’s headmistress, meanwhile, told the Chinese daily that the school is currently investigating the matter.
