A jobless, 35-year-old Kedah man sprayed his former lover’s home with the contents of a fire extinguisher, after claiming the woman owed him RM3,500 (US$815). The incident took place in Kampung Salit, the woman’s village, circa 10:15om Friday.
The Star reports that the police say that the gentleman (in the figurative sense of the word), first came to the woman’s house to speak with her, but she refused to open the door. He then shouted for her outside, while she ran into the kitchen to avoid him.
Earlier that day, the man had bumped into the woman and threatened to kill her over the unpaid sum. One might say, he was on edge.
District police say that “when she returned to the living room, she found the furniture covered in powder from the fire extinguisher.” Classy move, sir. Police also have no idea where he got the fire retardant.
For her part, the woman denies owing the man any money. She told police that during their time together, it was she that paid for food and drinks, on her salary as a restaurant helper. The two were together for three years.
Girl, this was bad news from the start.
