The election may be done, dusted and won for Pakatan Harapan, but one supporter has taken the flag of Anwar’s Parti Keadilan Rakyat (aka PKR aka People’s Justice Party) all the way to Russia, and is flying it for planet Earth to see.
Front and center on screens last night for viewers watching the match between Senegal and Poland in Moscow’s Spartak stadium (spoiler: Senegal won, 2 – 1) was the unfurled cerulian blue and red PKR flag, with the Malaysian flag not too far away.
Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, PKR’s Youth Chief (*cough* age: 36), posted a pic of an Astro screen showing the flags, and asked just who was this bolshy Malaysian seated in the front row.
No word if anyone has come to take credit for the move, but one Twitter user shared this image of a group holding several flags, including the Jalur Gemilang, the PKR flag, as well as those of Uruguay and Mexico.
Hey — probably the next-best thing we’re going to have as a country considering we’re a long-way from qualifying for any kind of World Cup right now.
