Snake bites Standard Two pupil in Rembau school

Just a day after tragic news of a seven-year-old girl who died from a venomous snake bite in Kota Bahru, another incident has happened in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.

This time, a Standard Two pupil from SK Chembong was bitten by a black-coloured snake which somehow made its way into the field of her school on Wednesday.

The New Straits Times said the girl was rushed to Hospital Tuanku Jaafar (HTJ) in Seremban and is in stable condition. Doctors reportedly found two bite marks behind eight-year-old Nor Shafika Mohd Ramadhani’s right knee.

On Tuesday, Nuriey Nadhirah Roslan, 7, died after being bitten by a snake at Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato’ Hashim 1, Pengkalan Chepa.

The child had been playing in a garden located close to her classroom after having a meal at the canteen when she was bitten on her left calf at 10am. Nuriey was pronounced dead at the Pengkalan Chepa Health Clinic.
