Neighbors came to blows earlier this month over a matter pertaining to drive-way gate that swung a little too far off a 90-degree angle for one man’s liking.
While the incident occurred on August 5, the video of the altercation that was caught on CCTV was leaked online August 10.

Right, so we have an older woman arriving home, whose CCTV camera seems to be filming the events. Getting out of her car to open the gates so that she can park inside, one of the doors appears to swing wider than usual, and gently knocks a temporary tent that has been erected by her neighbor.
Internet user comments have remarked that it was a windy day, and that her gates were affected by the gusts. To be fair, you can notice the tent flapping in the breeze as well.
Cue: Middle-aged man in fuchsia shirt, who must have a sixth sense, or electric collar, alerting him as to whether the door and his tent pole were touching, because within seconds he is on the scene, angry. He then slams the woman’s gate back in the direction of her home.
As the woman’s husband begins reversing the car into the driveway, Mr. Fuchsia becomes increasingly enraged, and he marches over to the woman. What appears to be a verbal tirade ensues at the driveway entrance, making it impossible for the car to even reverse in.
What else to do other than join in on the fracas, and try to talk down Mr. Fuchsia to a point where he at least can rationalize that a door brushing up on his pole is no big deal.
Things didn’t quite work out like that.
Attempting to keep the offending gate ajar, and at 90-degrees, the woman appears shocked when Mr Fuchsia decides to grab the gate, and slam it with force into the same (at this point, stupid) tent that he’s been protecting with his life for the last minute.
Oh word?
It was probably at this exact point that things took a decidedly darker turn.
Cue: Woman’s husband, who now tries to intervene in the escalating situation.
Cue: One tight slap from Mr Fuchsia.
Cue: A slap back.
Cue: A fight.
Family members from the unhinged man’s home coming out to see what all the fuss was about, and tried in vain to calm him down. Meanwhile the woman is seen typing numbers into her mobile, hopefully getting some police on the scene.
And if you’re wondering what levels of ridiculous the internet is at today; most netizens are siding with the poor neighbors who have a weak gate.
However, there’s still those few contrarians out there, advocating for the devil, free of charge, so to speak.
Their take? Well, they’re claiming that doors should swing inwards, which must mean they’ve either lived their lives with driveways that are 20 meters long, or they’ve missed a vital lesson in geometry. We’re going with the latter.
