Sixteen of the 155 stranded Malaysian students in Bali have returned home since Mount Agung, the active volcano looming over the island, began showing signs of an imminent eruption, according to the Ministry of Higher Education.

The 139 that are still on the island are reportedly safe, and presumably enjoying an overpriced smoothie bowl from a fashionable worn teak chair.

The 155 students were part of a medical school trip from Universitas Udayana, and had registered their presence with Education Malaysia Indonesia. The Ministry of Higher Education reports that should the need arise, they were prepared to evacuate the students to a safer place, such as Surabaya City.

The ministry is monitoring the situation closely and coordinating with the students’ university to ensure they are exempt from class attendance during this time.

Two words, kids: SPRING + BREAK. Enjoy.
