Malaysian highways are not just a venue for the convergence of gridlocked traffic and tarmac strip for uppity Myvis wanting to overtake you. They can also sub as a boxing ring, in a pinch.
Yesterday, the LDP, one of Kuala Lumpur’s main motorways, was the scene of a six-man brawl that could not be broken up, even after police arrived.
At 1:15pm Sunday, police were called in to reports of an accident on the LDP, near IOI Mall, going to Sunway. When officers arrived, they were shocked to see the drivers and passengers of the two vehicles involved in an all-out brawl on the busy motorway.
The men refused to heed police orders to cease fighting, with police describing that one of the men proceeded to re-enter his vehicle and reverse, hitting the car behind him, as well as the police vehicle that was on the scene. Smooth, bruv.
The men, six in total, and all in their forties, were arrested and taken into Serdang police headquarters for booking.
Unsurprisingly, the fracas resulted in a massive traffic jam along the motorway, as passers-by slowed down to see probably the craziest thing they would be witness to that day.
A video of the incident has made the rounds on social media, with over 300,000 views and 3,000 shares.
