PKR politician R Sivarasa is expected to be charged today for posting on Facebook a doctored image of a Time magazine cover recently.
According to Malaysiakini, the Subang MP is set to be charged under Section 233(1)(a) of the Multimedia and Communications Act 1998 for allegedly “creating and initiating the transmission of false communication with the intent to annoy another person”.
Last month, the lawyer had posted the fake cover on Facebook, which depicted the photo of Prime Minister Najib Razak and the words ‘No. 2 on the most corrupt list’, but removed the post after being informed that it was fake.
